HOTEL OVERVIEW

Palmera Inn & Suites is an all-suite property located in the central part of Hilton Head Island, designed for travelers who prefer more room than a standard hotel offers. The accommodations consist of studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom suites, all of which include a full kitchen with a stove, dishwasher, and full-sized refrigerator. Each suite also features a separate living area and a private balcony or patio. On-site facilities include an outdoor swimming pool, a hot tub, and a fitness center. Guests are provided with a complimentary daily breakfast and have access to bike rentals directly through the hotel.

The hotel is located at 12 Park Lane, situated just off the main William Hilton Parkway. This mid-island position puts guests about 2 miles from Coligny Beach Park and the shopping and dining at Coligny Plaza. It is also less than a 5-minute drive to the Shelter Cove Towne Centre and the Shipyard Plantation golf courses. For those arriving from off the island, the property is roughly 45 minutes from the Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport.

A typical day at the property usually begins with the free breakfast before heading out to the beach or the island's extensive network of bike trails. Because the units have full kitchens, many guests choose to prepare their own lunches or dinners, which is a practical way to manage costs during a beach vacation. Our stay at Palmera Inn & Suites was a fantastic choice for our family getaway to Hilton Head. We stayed in a Loft Suite, and having the extra space with two bathrooms and a separate living area made our five-night stay much more comfortable than a standard hotel room. The fully equipped kitchen was a lifesaver for quick breakfasts, though the kids absolutely loved the pancake machine at the hotel’s daily breakfast bar. We spent most of our afternoons by the outdoor pool and hot tub, but it was also great being just a short drive from Shipyard Beach and the shopping at Shelter Cove. Sheldon at the front desk was incredibly helpful and suggested we grab dinner at Giuseppi’s Pizza & Pasta in the nearby plaza, which became our favorite easy meal of the trip. We’ll definitely be back for another stay.
